The North American International Motor Show will roll into Detroit and open its doors on January 11th 2016. As ever, we'll be bringing you the latest news and details from the first motor show of the new year and we can't wait.
The glamorous event will, as always, showcase plenty of new cars. However there will be less to see this year, as many manufacturers have confirmed that they won't be attending the show. Among those not going are Jaguar Land Rover, Peugeot, Citroen, McLaren, Tesla, MINI and Bentley.
Still, even with those names ducking out we've got some major new car reveals in store at Detroit 2016 including the new Mercedes E-Class, the new Mercedes SLC, Volvo's S90 and Infiniti's Q60. There will be plenty of American offerings from brands not currently sold in the UK such as Lincoln and Dodge plus more cars from brands you will be familiar with, which we'll be adding to this page as they're announced.

North American International Motor Show: preview
Fisker The Force 1
The Californian company's unusually named The Force 1 will debut in the metal at Detroit. It's a departure from Fisker's previous model, which was a range-extending hybrid - the new car will use a hugely powerful naturally aspirated engine.
We've only seen a sketch so far, but Fisker says it will use a carbon-fibre body atop a donor platform from another sports car.
Infiniti Q60
We saw Infiniti's new Q60 undisguised for the first time last month. The test car was slightly toned-down from the concept we saw at the 2015 Detroit show, but the overall shape remained the same, with a bold front end and athletic rear.
Expect the Infiniti Q60 to be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo V6 engine at launch, though to succeed in Europe a selection of smaller engines as well as diesels will be expected.
Mercedes E-Class
The seventh-generation Mercedes E-Class is eagerly awaited, as the current model is getting slightly long in the tooth. The all-new model will be the most technologically advanced car Mercedes has ever produced.
The saloon model will go on sale in the summer, followed then by an Estate, Coupe and Convertible.
S 65 AMG Cabriolet
The most expensive S-Class in the range, the S 65 AMG Cabriolet is based on the S-Class Cabriolet and its twin-turbo V12 powers it from 0-62mph in just 4.1 seconds. It's expected to go on sale in the UK in April and will cost around £200,000.
SLC
The current Mercedes SLK Roadster will get a facelift and a name change to Mercedes SLC, which fits in with the new naming structure the company are introducing. It's a pretty mild facelift, but sleeker lights and a bolder grille added to aluminium trim and new leather for the seats bring it up-to-date.
Volvo S90
Replacing the current S80, the Volvo S90 will go against the Mercedes E-Class, Jaguar XF and BMW 5 Series when it goes on sale in the summer. The same range of engines from the XC90 will feature - exclusively four-cylinder petrol and diesel units, along with a plug-in hybrid T8 model.
