BMW M760Li leaked 5

Sporty BMW 7 Series with V12 engine could be on the way - it's been spotted on an online configurator

Pictures of the BMW M760Li have appeared online, indicating that a flagship V12 7 Series is on the way to sit above the 730d and 740i in the UK line-up.

The pictures were screengrabbed from an online car configurator by enthusiast site Bimmer Today and show M760Li lettering on the back of the car as well as some pictures showing potential new quad-exit exhaust pipes. It seems that a system glitch caused the badge to appear on the wrong model.

There are no other details about the car at the moment, but it's likely that it will use a Rolls-Royce 6.6-litre V12 engine with around 600bhp. The M badge on the car suggests the engine would have a change of character, with more of a focus on sportiness and performance compared to the more sedate version of the unit used in the Rolls-Royce Ghost.

There could also be an M760i version for those looking for something a bit more relaxed. Expect the car to rival the Mercedes-AMG S 65 with its V12 powerplant when it arrives at the end of 2016, but be priced closer to the £121,000 V8 S 63, which offers similar performance.
