The secret's out as images make their way to the web of BMW's 'new' 3-Series for 2015. The compact executive car gets a mid-life makeover to help it keep pace with the new Jaguar XE, and this is the first time we've seen in before the official unveiling later today.
As we've come to expect from most premium German firms, the exterior updates are a subtle affair. You'll be hard pushed to notice the restyled lights, which now extend to meet the grille and appear to feature full-LED tech. There also looks to be reprofiled bumpers front and rear, but again it's blink-and-you'll-miss-it stuff.
What is interesting from the outside is a new badge on the back. The '340i' designation makes its debut on the 3-Series, which hints at either an updated version of the 335i or a whole new powertrain. We can expect efficiency and performance updates across the range.
The interior doesn't appear to gain much in the way of tweaks, except a new climate control layout and some revised air-vents. A new generation of infotainment and navigation will also feature. We expect the new 3-Series to go on sale in the summer.
