Renault boss Carlos Ghosn has committed to increasing his company's investment in electric racing series Formula E, but says Renault will only honour its existing contracts in F1.
Speaking to Auto Express at the inaugural London E Prix where Renault won the constructors title, Ghosn said, "the only thing that's certain is that we will be bigger in formula e - we will be putting in more investment and more technology."
"In formula one we are an engine manufacturer with a number of customers. And that means you are forgotten when you win and highlighted when you lose.
"We have choices, we could leave, we are less likely to be an engine manufacturer or we could own a team. But it's not only down to us, it's down to the organisers. We want to see how the governance of formula one changes
"It's not about costs, it's about the return - we're not afraid of it. We have a long tradition - is it worth it. But the more car makers that participate the better."
