Subaru has announced a raft of interior and chassis revisions for its XV crossover range. The updated Mitsubishi ASX rival goes on sale this month, with prices remaining unchanged and starting from £21,995.
Although little appears to have changed from the outside, Subaru claims the XV has undergone "major re-tuning" of the suspension to improve ride and handling, with revised spring rates and new dampers. The steering ratio has also been quickened by 10 per cent, while additional soundproofing and thicker glass reduces road noise in the cabin by 1 decibel.
The interior itself also gets the similar revisions to that seen on the Forester SUV earlier this year, including Subaru's own touchscreen infotainment system which is standard across all models in the range, and brings voice control, "Starlink" app connectivity and a reversing camera. Gloss black trim, a revised instrument binnacle and a new gearlever round off the changes.
The styling and engine range remain unchanged, as does the pricing, with the XV starting at £21,995 for the 2.0-litre petrol SE and rising to £25,995 for the 2.0-litre diesel Premium.
