Land Rover Defender pedal car concept - front

Amongst the shiny new metal at Frankfurt, Land Rover has revealed something for the little ones

Land Rover is on a roll at the minute, with the recently-launched Discovery Sport proving popular and the Evoque still in demand following a refresh – but that doesn’t mean the British firm is going to stop.

While the range is growing and appealing to a wider range of customers than ever before, Land Rovers are now available to those probably too small to even climb into some of the current line-up without some help.

That's where this comes in. Debuting at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this Defender pedal car concept has been created to celebrate 60 years of the iconic Defender and is being marketed as a collectors’ piece for true Land Rover aficionados.

Land Rover’s attention to detail can be found even on this dinky off-roader, with the same Loire Blue paintwork found on the full-size Defender, while the interior is trimmed in tan leather.

The Defender pedal car features spring suspension and functioning brakes, plus it even has a parking brake if your little tot forgets when parking on a garden slope.

Mind you, you’ll be thankful of that brake, as the production version of this Defender pedal car is expected to retail at around £10,000. This also proves that a car is for life, not just for Christmas.
