The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade show is never one for the faint hearted. The loudest and proudest car tuners and customisers head to the Las Vegas show every year, and this year Ford's display will be bigger than ever. Among a number of racier versions of the Blue Oval's existing range, we'll see eight customised versions of the 2015 Ford Mustang muscle car at the show.

Ontario-based Bisimoto has created the extraordinary “BisiBoost” Mustang. It generates a mind boggling 887bhp from the standard car’s 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, thanks to 14 new and beefed-up forged internal engine parts. Chassis upgrades also feature, as does a muscular body kit and DTM-style front splitter.

Motoroso’s Mustang develops 717bhp from its Rousch supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, with slightly more subtle enhancements to the standard car’s looks. The 21-inch candy red alloy wheels and an Eibach spring kit help it stand out. iPads are installed in the bootlid of the car and connect to a specific vehicle app.

TS Designs has focused on the handling of this two-toned red and black 'Stang convertible. There are extra wide 13-inch rear tyres, a Steeda Autosports Stage 3 Handling Package, lowered suspension springs and an enhanced cat-back exhaust system.

MAD Industries has adorned a GT convertible in a striking Pure Black and Brilliant Blue colour scheme. The grill, wheels, seats and bonnet detailing get the bold blue treatment. There are performance and handling upgrades with 715bhp thanks to a 2.9-litre twin-screw supercharger kit from Whipple Industries.

The track-biased ICE Nine Group Mustang is inspired by DTM Touring car series and the all-new Shelby GT350R. The uprated Mustang gets a 468bhp turbocharged powertrain, revised suspension and an upgraded exhaust system with racing in mind.

DRAGG has produced a bonkers Mustang police car to keep the custom models in its sights. Fitted with GoPro cameras, lights and sirens, the American muscle car’s 2.3-litre engine gets an uprated intercooler, exhaust and BAMA tuning.

The CGS Performance Mustang convertible comes in white paint with twin-red stripes. It has 21in alloys on the front and 22in on the rear. There is a selection of powertrain modifications, while this bright but subtle show car gets a unique leather interior to deliver open-top driving comfort.

The Bojix Design coupe benefits from powertrain and chassis modifications along with an eye catching paint job. The Canadian company aims to bring a European Grand Touring feel to this American icon.
