The Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) trade shows are always a hotbed of latest and most extreme aftermarket upgrades. Hyundai is hoping to make a splash at this year's 2015 event with a range of models fettled by different companies.
First up is US tuner Rockstar Performance Garage, who've taken a Hyundai Tucson and beefed it up for extreme off-road use. The Nissan Qashqai rival gets a full 150mm added to the ride height to accomodate massive 32-inch tyres, fully adjustable suspension and a huge sound system.
Alongside this will be ARK Performance's entrant, a Genesis coupe which sees the standard 3.8-litre V6 uprated to 4.0 litres and a Rotrex supercharger kit added. Around 500bhp is mooted with some upgraded internals, living up to the promises of the racy bodykit.
Also demonstrating performance tuning is Chicago's 'Blood Type Racing', bringing back the Veloster (recently axed from the UK) with a 'Turbo R-Spec' model tuned to produce a whopping 500bhp from the existing 1.6-litre turbo engine. Despite the power output the firm claims it's refined enough to use on the road. A flared carbon-fibre bodykit also features.
