A sales brochure revealing the Jaguar F-Type SVR has been leaked online, giving us our first look at Jag's range-topping sports car.
The SVR badge means it has been developed by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations department, and the brochure indicates that it will feature the same 567bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine as the limited-edition Project 7. It will be the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge, however, following last year's Range Rover Sport SVR.
Thanks to the powerful V8 with 700Nm of torque, an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive the F-Type SVR will go from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and on to an incredible 200mph top speed - according to the leaked sales materials. An insider tells us that those figures aren't final, however.
The car will be available as a coupe and convertible, and gets a few aerodynamic upgrades over the standard car. The brochure mentions new air inlets at the front, along with an upgraded splitter and more vents to allow bigger quantities of air into the new cooling system. There's also a huge rear spoiler that covers the whole width of the car, and it will be able to extend to provide more downforce at high speed.
The wheels are wider and lights, allowing for bigger tyres to be fitted to improve grip. Carbon-ceramic brakes feature on the SVR too, along with stiffer suspension for better cornering ability. Even the exhaust has been revised for a 12kg weight saving.
Inside, there's an updated steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles and sports seats with contrasting stitching in the leather. The pictures in the brochure show SVR logos that are placed throughout the cabin, too.
