The limited-run MINI Convertible Open 150 Edition has been launched, adding loads of standard equipment and unique leather and paint combinations. It is available to order from 5 March and costs from £29,990.
For the high list price, you get kit including heated leather seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, and the eye-catching MINI Yours Union Jack fabric roof. The Open 150 also benefits from MINI’s Chili Pack and Media Pack, which add desirable luxuries like sat-nav and LED headlights. The standard car’s specification is carried over, meaning parking sensors and a reversing camera also feature.

But the Open 150’s equipment list doesn’t end there. The range-topping cabrio also gets the MINI Rain Warner – a feature that alerts its driver of imminent bad weather when the car is parked with its roof down. The setup also works when on the move, illuminating an alert on the dashboard if rain is forecast ahead.

As the number suggests, only 150 of the Open 150 Convertible models will be offered to UK customers. All come with the punchy Cooper S engine, and a choice of manual and automatic gearboxes. The latter commands a £1,325 premium.
The MINI Open 150 is signed off with Chester Malt Brown seats, as well as a specially designed plaque on the dashboard. Unique badging and door sill plates are also visible.
