Peugeot aims to reach business travel utopia by unveiling the Traveller i-Lab concept at the Geneva Motor Show

Advanced connectivity and passenger comfort are at the heart of the design for the new Traveller i-Lab concept, with Peugeot focused on delivering the ultimate VIP travel experience. The i-Lab concept is based on the new Peugeot Traveller, a production MPV based on the new Peugeot Expert van that’s also set to debut at the Geneva show.

The i-Lab concept doesn’t scream luxury from the offset with its exterior looking similar to the Traveller. It can be distinguished by its dark copper colour and an elevated vertical grille that integrates the lion emblem at its centre. Peugeot has also helpfully stuck big ‘i-Lab’ graphics across the side windows to help avoid confusion.

However, step inside and the real i-Lab experience begins. The interior space has been designed for doing business. Dark tinted windows isolate passengers from the outside world and four individual seats upholstered with Alcantara and patinated black leather trim sit opposite one another around a giant 32-inch tablet.

It’s the Traveller i-Lab’s connectivity that is truly worthy of attention, with Peugeot promising a ‘hyper-connected journey’. The touch-screen tablet, supported by an arch pivot, can be used individually or split into four screens, allowing each passenger to conduct their business.

“The Peugeot Traveller i-Lab makes everything so easy and streamlined. The on-board technology is cutting edge transforming everyday life. The arch supporting the touch tablet embodies this versatility by fostering and encouraging exchanges between passengers while on the move.” Said Alessandro Riga, Traveller i-Lab Interior Designer.

The tablet is complemented by a Wi-Fi hotspot, bluetooth, charging docks and virtual reality headsets, all developed in partnership with Samsung to offer the complete connected journey.
