MINI's new Clubman has now got more frugal with a new One D variant, aimed at fleet buyers. The entry-level diesel kicks off from £21,275, and will be available to order from April.

The new Clubman D puts efficiency first with a new engine taken from the Cooper D hatchback. The 1.5 litre, three-cylinder turbo unit produces 114bhp and 270Nm of torque, resulting in a 0-62mph time of 10.4 seconds an a top speed of 119mph.
This means the six-door estate only produces 99g/km of CO2 with a six-speed manual transmission, or 104g/km for the six-speed automatic option, while it claims 74.3mpg combined (72/4mpg for the auto). That's an improvement of 5.4mpg and 10g/km over the 2.0-litre Cooper D.
Company car drivers will, therefore, be able to benefit from a BiK rate of just 17%, over the previous 21% of the old model, allowing drivers to save money on tax. Monthly payments also start from £179pm.
The Clubman One D comes with a large range of equipment as standard, including MINI navigation, 16-inch alloys and cruise control. A leather multifunction wheel, aircon, a DAB radio and auto lights and wipers are also thrown in.
