A new ‘Push to Pass’ masterplan for Peugeot, Citroen and DS promises 26 new models, including 7 plug-in hybrids and 4 electric cars.
The PAS Group has announced a new strategy dubbed ‘Push to Pass’ that sets out ambitious new car plans that will take the company up to 2021. The plan includes no fewer than 26 new cars and 8 light commercial vehicles. Included in this will be a new 1-tonne pick-up, 7 plug-in hybrids and 4 all-electric cars.
The Push to Pass masterplan is designed to equip the PSA Group’s Peugeot, Citroen and DS brands to compete strongly in a changing automotive marketplace over the next 5 years. The core aim is to “meet customers’ mobility needs by anticipating changes in car usage patterns”.
In addition to the glut of new models, the PAS Group’s statement also mentions its target of developing and deploying a connected and autonomous vehicle programme while boosting revenue and profitability across all areas of the business.
PSA chairman Carlos Tavares said: “based on our financial reconstruction, we will launch a global product and technology offensive. Now more agile, we are ready to shift paradigms by anticipating changes in car usage patterns. Our digital transformation will make the PSA Group a company connected to its customers. With “Push to Pass”, we will ensure PSA profitable organic growth."
We’ll have more on the future product plan for Peugeot, Citroen and DS after the PAS Group press conference later today.
