It’s been two years since Lamborghini launched the Huracan, and our spies have caught what appears to be the track-focused Superleggera model testing at the Nurburgring.

The car is completely camouflaged, but big changes can clearly be seen. A huge rear wing, more aggressive front-end and rear diffuser have all been added to boost aerodynamics and performance. A new exhaust system could also hint at a power upgrade from the 5.2-litre V10 engine, too.
Currently, the standard 602bhp four-wheel drive model has a top speed of 202mph and can accelerate 0-62mph in 3.2 seconds. However, the new Supperleggera is expected to outperform its sibling thanks to a small power boost and reduction in weight.
The previous Gallardo Supperleggera shed around 100kg over the standard model it was based on – a similar figure is expected to be cut from the Huracan. A stripped out interior, lightweight seats and lashing of carbon fibre will help reduce kerbweight. We can also expect the Superleggera to be fitted with sticky track-focused tyres.
A Huracan Coupe costs from £155,400, while the Spyder starts from £205,000. There has been no official announcement from Lamborghini regarding the existence of the Superleggera, but we expect it to surpass both variants and only be available in limited numbers.
