Citroen is planning an overhaul of its Berlingo van and MPV range, and our spy photographers have caught one testing out on the road.
The traditional look of the old Berlingo looks set to be replaced with a more distinctive front end in line with the rest of the current Citroen range. Split headlights and a rounded-off style are clear even on this heavily-camouflaged prototype.
Plus at the back we can make out a square back window and new taillights. The windows on the side of this suggest that it's the passenger car Multispace version - but the commercial van will share a very similar exterior look.
A Peugeot Partner will also arrive around the same time as the Citroen, likely in 2018, based on the same platform. Power for both models will come from a range of four-cylinder diesel engines, possibly with petrol joining the mix, and we expect the interior and exterior dimensions to increase for this next-gen version.
The current Berlingo Multispace serves as a budget MPV in the range and starts at £16,245 - we expect this new model to fill in a similar role in the range when it launches. The van version currently starts at £17,170.
