Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury offshoot, has released a teaser image of what could be a potential QX70 replacement, with a pre LA Auto Show set for 28 November.
The teaser image reveals very little, other than a sketch of what appears to be a crossover SUV shape, in between an invitation to the grand unveil at Hawthorne Municipal Airport in Los Angeles. The invitation boasts that it will be the most advanced Infiniti in the marque's 28-year history.
It is therefore likely that the Infiniti crossover will feature technology such as an all-electric powertrain or fully autonomous driving capabilities. Nissan revealed a whole range of EVs at the Tokyo Motor Show last month, including a hot Nismo Leaf.
The Japanese brand also tested a fully autonomous Infiniti Q50 saloon on the streets of Tokyo as part of its many exhibits, so we could see similar technology in Infiniti’s new crossover when it’s unveiled at the end of this month.
It’s also worth noting that back in January, Infiniti launched the smaller QX50 crossover concept at the Detroit Motor Show, so it’s possible that the new concept could bare resemblance to the QX50 but in larger form when launched in the build up to the LA Auto Show.
