Mitsubishi has announced it will bring a new, all-electric concept SUV to Geneva called the Engelberg Tourer. The Japanese firm says the concept has been designed to showcase Mitsubishi’s EV capabilities and could give us a glimpse at the next generation Outlander SUV.

Technical specifications for the Engelberg Tourer Concept are yet to be announced, with full details being released following the car’s official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. For now, all we have to go off is this shadowy teaser image.

Whether or not any of the car’s features will be transferred to a production model is also yet to be verified, but we expect this concept will be used as a testing-bed for Mitsubishi’s future all-electric endeavours.

The Engelberg Tourer Concept follows on from the e-Evolution in Mitsubishi’s line of all-electric SUV concepts. Revealed at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Show, the e-Evolution featured the brand’s same “dynamic shield” blanked-off radiator grille, three electric motors, four-wheel-drive, active yaw control and torque vectoring.

Expect the Engelberg Tourer to feature more of the same technology, perhaps with additional infotainment and safety kit.
