The Mitsubishi Mirage range has been updated for the 2019, adding a more efficient engine and reducing the cost of the entry-level model by £1,000. Prices for the supermini now start from £11,295.
Mitsubishi’s 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine has been re-engineered to meet the recently-introduced real-world driving regulations, returning claimed CO2 emissions of 107g/km and economy of 60.1mpg. Power figures remain unchanged at 79bhp and 106Nm of torque.
The base model Mirage 3 remains relatively well-equipped, coming fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lights, a boot spoiler, automatic windscreen wipers, air conditioning, a bluetooth stereo, keyless entry and go, a leather steering wheel and stop-start.
Mitsubishi’s new Mirage 4 acts as the range-topper. Priced from £13,355 with a manual gearbox, or £14,020 with an automatic, it adds 15-inch alloy wheels, Bi-Xenon headlamps, a touch screen infotainment system, a DAB radio, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats and rear parking sensors.
