Bugatti has released a very subtle teaser video for it's upcoming successor to the record-breaking Veyron. Details are scarce so far, but rumours suggest an astonishing 1,500bhp could be the target for engineers.
Predicted by many to feature the Bugatti Chiron nameplate, the new car will be unveiled some time next year for launch in 2017. Rumours are rife as to what we'll expect, but engineers have strongly hinted to us in the past that a hybrid-electric powertrain will be the key element to boosting performance.
Judging by the monstrous sound at the end of this teaser video, Bugatti is likely to buck the trend for downsizing and stick with the huge W16 layout. The Super Sports version of the Veyron pushed to boundaries with 1,186bhp, but electric assistance will be key to unlocking that magical 1,500bhp figure.
There's no doubt that, like the last Veyron, engineers will have a specific target in mind in terms of top speed, with at least 270mph the predicted figure, if not more.
As for the styling? Well, the video certainly doesn't give much away, but we're expecting an evolution of the Veyron's looks rather than a radical departure. There's no doubt prices will soar over the million-Pound mark.
