Vauxhall has confirmed prices and specifications for the all-new Astra Sports Tourer. Costing from £16,585, the Luton-built estate will go head to head with the Ford Focus estate when it hits showrooms in March.
That pricetag, which is for the 100bhp 1.4-litre petrol model, undercuts the previous Sports Tourer by £1,870. Entry-level Design trim models get 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, air-conditioning, cruise control and automatic lights.
Other petrol engines on offer include a 1.0-litre turbo, which emits 96g/km CO2 (when selected with an automatic gearbox) and a range-topping 197bhp 1.6-litre turbo, available in SRI trim only. The diesel on offer is a 1.6-litre unit in varying power outputs, with the most efficient delivering 85.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 86g/km.
Tech line trim comes with an enhanced sound system and sat-nav with an 8-inch colour touchscreen. The sportier SRI spec gets 17-inch alloy wheels and sports seats.
The range-topping Elite model has 17-inch alloys, heated front and rear seats and dual-zone climate control. Elite Nav gets the sat-nav system with European mapping.
