Nissan is planning an update for its GT-R supercar, and today the brand has released a teaser image confirming that we'll see something new at the New York Motor Show.
The teaser image doesn't show anything more than the distinctive taillight design of the tech-heavy supercar, but we expect that this new model will be an update to improve and refresh the car in light of new competitors.
Nissan has been constantly updating the GT-R over the years, and we expect similar changes to previous years - so it could get a slight power boost for its 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine, which currently has 542bhp.
Previous updates have also included new suspension settings, grippier tyres and tweaked brakes for better performance on the track. There could also be new styling and aerodynamic features, but it's not likely to be a groundbreaking change to the way the car looks.
Standard kit could also be an area of improvement, with in-car tech a possible target for a few upgrades. It's possible that there could be interior changes like new sports seats, too.
There are no concrete details on the car yet, but we'll have the full run-down of upgrades and changes to the Nissan GT-R when it's launched at the New York Motor Show next week.
