A new special edition Mazda 2 has been revealed to bolster the recent refresh Mazda has bestowed upon its supermini, which will go on sale in early July and will be limited to just 750 examples.
Called the Mazda 2 Tech Edition, the firm claims it offers enhanced standard equipment at a value price, compared to standard versions of the car specced with the same options.

It’s based on the £14,695 1.5 SE-L Nav version of the car, but stands out with two styling changes – a set of new 16-inch alloy wheels plus a choice of four premium paint finishes.
In terms of standard equipment, Mazda is throwing in rear parking sensors, privacy glass, climate control, automatic headlights plus automatic windscreen wipers. It comes on top of the SE-L Nav standard equipment, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen colour infotainment system with built in satellite navigation and Bluetooth.
Under the bonnet, the Mazda 2 Tech Edition features the firm’s 1.5-litre 89bhp four-cylinder petrol engine. Mazda claims it’s capable of delivering 62.8mpg on a combined run, while 0-62mph takes 9.4 seconds and top speed comes in at 114mph. The tech edition features a five-speed manual gearbox exclusively.
Prices for the new limited edition Mazda 2 kick off at £14,995, commanding a £300 premium over the SE-L Nav car it’s based on.
