If you've ever heard of Rinspeed, you'll know it's often behind some of the most bonkers concept car creations at motor shows. It seems next year will be no different, as Rinspeed will be showing this oddball Etos concept at January's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The Swiss outfit calls itself a 'powerhouse of ideas' rather than a car manufacturer, and that's evident as its creations almost never reach the market in any form. But Rinspeed is instead concerned with supplying ideas for the future, and this one is certainly a bit 'out there'.
The Rinspeed Etos concept is a two-seater sports car with some rather interesting features. The first is the one that's obvious from the main image; for a reason we can't quite fathom the car comes with a drone and a landing pad on the back. Rinspeed claims it can be used to "fetch a bouquet of flowers the driver ordered online" or even film the car driving.
The concept also debuts full driverless tech where the steering wheel folds away entirely in autonomous mode. When it does so, two curved windscreens move closer to the passengers to give a great view out. Where any of this applies to production models we'll have to see, but you can't criticize Rinspeed for being shy about thinking outside the box!
