Is this our first tiny taste of the new SEAT Mii by COSMOPOLITAN special edition? A leaked image of a new SEAT wheel design has surfaced online, which we believe is from the new fashion-led city car special that was confirmed in an official press release earlier in 2016. SEAT has refused to confirm the origin of the picture but the wheel design shown has not been seen on any of the Spanish brand's cars before.
The Mii by COSMOPOLITAN is the fruit of a partnership between SEAT and the women's lifestyle magazine. The aim of the project was apparently to design a special edition of the Mii "that connects with modern women." According to the release, COSMOPOLITAN magazine, and its publisher Hearst Magazines International, spent 18 months working with SEAT to create the new Mii version. The trendy city car will officially be revealed on 15th September at Cosmopolitan's '#FashFest'.
SEAT's Global Marketing Director, Suzanne Franz, said: "The Mii by COSMOPOLITAN is being designed to meet women’s needs in terms of daily usage. This new car will go beyond aesthetics, it is a functional vehicle where the design has a purpose".
Senior Vice President and editorial director of Hearst Magazines International, Kim St. Clair Bodden, said: "It has been incredibly rewarding to design the new Mii with all the bells and whistles that really personalise the driving experience, and I am looking forward to its unveiling."
This isn't the first fashion brand to bring its own flair to the Mii city car - the Mii by MANGO in 2014 featured unique Alcantara seats with MANGO stitching, a hook on the glovebox to hang a bag and specifically-designed floor mats and door sills. We're expecting more of the same from the Cosmo' model.
